Clients, locations, projects
Free trial: 3 reports or 3 days. No card required.
The sidebar shows Clients, Locations and Projects as three separate lists, which is where most new users go looking for "the report". Here is how they fit: a client can have many locations, each visit to a location is a project, and every report belongs to exactly one project.
When to make each
- Client. The company that pays you. A restaurant group, a hospital, a property manager. It holds the contact email the report goes to.
- Location. One address where a kitchen lives. A group with six restaurants is one client with six locations.
- Project. One visit. The date, the location, the photos from that day, and the report you write about it. Next quarter's clean at the same kitchen is a new project.

You do not have to start here
Starting a report from New report creates the project on the spot, and the client and location can be attached from the project afterwards. The lists exist so the second, tenth and fiftieth report at the same site take less typing than the first.
Merging duplicates
Made "Joe's Diner" twice? Open Clients and look for duplicates; the app flags likely matches and you merge one into the other. Reports and locations move to the one you keep. Locations have the same merge.
