NFPA 96 editions the guides reference
The public guides cite NFPA 96 (2021) and NFPA 96 (2024) for ventilation control and fire protection of commercial cooking operations, plus ANSI/IKECA C10 (2021) for cleaning methodology. Product fields and article wording are documentation aids. They are not a substitute for the standard text. Confirm which edition the authority having jurisdiction has adopted for each service address before treating a table, interval, or label requirement as controlling.
How state-specific fields are sourced
State-aware report fields come from publicly posted jurisdiction materials, such as FDNY Certificate of Fitness guidance, Massachusetts commercial hood-cleaning license pages, California CSLB license identification, and New Jersey cleaning-and-repair registration details. Those sources are listed below and are used to decide which optional credential fields appear on a report, not to interpret local law. Contractors still verify current licensing, registration, and submission rules with the issuing agency.
How often guides are reviewed
Guides, tool copy, and this methodology page are reviewed at least quarterly, and sooner when a cited NFPA or IKECA edition changes or a jurisdiction page used for state fields is updated. The date at the top of this page is the last completed review. If a guide and the published standard differ, follow the current standard and the local authority having jurisdiction.
