Editorial profile

Practical reporting guidance, written for the job closeout.

The HoodCleaningReport Team builds software and field guidance for commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning contractors. We focus on the record that remains after the crew leaves: scope, photos, access limits, deficiencies, signoff, service frequency, and customer handoff.

Our experience

Our product work starts with contractor reporting workflows, including CompanyCam photo sets, office review, inspection and post-clean report fields, branded PDF delivery, and client report history. We use that work to write steps a crew lead, owner-operator, or office manager can apply without translating generic software advice.

We do not present the software or this content as a certification body, authority having jurisdiction, engineering opinion, or substitute for the current standard. Field judgment, adopted editions, customer contracts, credentials, and local requirements still control.

How we research and update guides

  1. Start with the contractor task. Every guide must answer a real reporting, photo, deficiency, frequency, or handoff question.
  2. Check primary sources. Standards-sensitive claims link to the standards publisher, government authority, or another first-party source where available.
  3. Separate documentation from compliance. We describe what a report can record without claiming it certifies a job or guarantees acceptance.
  4. Test the workflow. Checklists and examples are reviewed against the fields used in actual report-building and customer-delivery flows.
  5. Refresh material changes. A substantive review updates the visible date and the article’s dateModified structured data.

Editorial standards

  • No invented customer results, testimonials, credentials, or approval claims.
  • No city or state advice presented as legal guidance without a verified primary source.
  • No copied manufacturer, competitor, standards, or publisher text.
  • No affiliate ranking that hides a commercial relationship.
  • Corrections are made in the article and reflected in the modified date.
